Sightglass Coffee

Very cool coffee shop in the Mission neighborhood. Lots of drink options and fresh pastries from a local bakery. Tried their iced latte with real vanilla. Different than vanilla syrup you get at most coffe shops this was very floral and unique. COVID protocols are being followed as masks are required in the cafe and until you are drinking or eating your item(s)

Cool place. Amazing coffee. Great pastries. I have a gluten free preference and I had the carrot banana muffin and a gluten free scone.

Friendly service. Good pastries. Good cold brew. My friend enjoyed her matcha latte. The ham and cheese croissant had mustard. There was a fruit center in the pistachio croissant. Several tables inside. More seating in the parklet outside.

Overall my favorite spot for coffee in the neighborhood- I often compare it to my favorite barista in London (WatchHouse) and it’s a tough comparison because both are insanely good- but WatchHouse has better consistency of service, quality and experience. But I love it nevertheless- it’s my neighborhood go to.

Believe me when I say... this joint is serious about its coffee and is the best I’ve had in the US so far! I was so so appreciative when the staff understood my coffee order - a latte in a small cup - when no other barista, even in the most artisanal and supposedly serious of cafes, whether in the major cities or not, have ever understood me. Most cafes in the US just believe flat whites, lattes, and cappucinos to differ based on cup size alone when it’s not the case - and Sightglass has been the only coffeeshop which knows the difference. Their coffee tastes good. And I appreciate that even for their vanilla lattes - they go the extra step and serve them with vanilla paste, and not just syrup. You can really taste the difference! These guys are stars.

Sight glass coffee is a quaint coffee shop that serves a cup of coffee FULL of flavor. My hazelnut latte was crafted ever so perfectly and the shop is done up super well and everyone was super friendly. A hot cup of coffee is the perfect addition to a chilly San Fransisco morning.
